I got my P-400 at the Audio Show , because my Audio Research LS-25 mk2 pre-amplifier is very sensitive with cables , in my mind the price and the look of how it make I will give a try
At the beginning I didn’t even expect a lot , But it gives more details , better separation , 3 Dimension , Nice mid-range , dark background , Dynamic , sounds open , the singer feels more lively , I was saying to my self “ WHAT!!! “
How can it sound better than my $3000 power cable , OMG !!!
I was really skeptical when I heard about the P400. On hand, I have the PS Audio AC12, SINE Cassio, and NBS Black Label II. My system was already sounding very good with the NBS Black Label II.
When I first saw the P400, it strikes me as a very well made power cable almost looks like a piece jewelry. The connectors had certain heft to it, just the look and feel of it seems to be worth the admission price. Mind you the NBS didn't even use the same quality connectors.
So how did it sound? The description of the P400 was on the point. Pretty much exactly what I experienced. So I rather not reiterate what was already described.
You ever heard people said "High is sweet, Mid is accurate, Bottom is strong. To it up, transparency! (referencing to Infernal Affair). " Yes, with the P400 connected to my AS WE300l, that statement simply described the experience. low level listening was much more enjoyable. Want more excitement? Just turn up the volume.
